Lift System

Click Here to see a BINS television commercial demonstrating how our lift system works.

Our (patent pending) lift system is so advanced that there are no true competitors. We are the only company that can lift a 16’x8’ 10,000 pound unit from an 8’wide driveway without tilting the unit or going on your grass.

When our lift truck is in the “lift/drop-off” position, it is only 18’ long. This is about the length of a typical sport utility vehicle. It gently places the BIN directly behind the truck. As the video shows, it can spin the BIN while in the “lift/drop-off” position. Therefore, we can make the BIN’s door face whatever direction you like. What does this mean to you? It means we can actually put your storage bin where you want it.

We require 13.5’ of height to drop-off a BIN. If there are low branches over your driveway, we have a different delivery method, which requires only 9’ of height. However, this method is only if the BIN is going to remain on-site, and additional charges may apply.

We know that some people like to shop around, so here are five very important ideas to consider when choosing a mobile storage company:

1. We won’t go on your grass – unless you request we do so.
Some of our competitors have lifting mechanisms up to 12 feet wide. If your driveway is not that wide, your yard could be damaged by these enormous machines.

Even if you have a wide driveway, our competitors would have a problem if you wanted the storage unit place on the edge of it. They need up to 2 feet on either side of the unit to move it, which could damage your grass, flowers, or bushes.

Our lift system is just 8 feet wide.

2. We will not TILT your unit.
Many of our competitors move a storage unit using a tilt-bed tow truck. This is extremely hazardous because your belongings are likely to shift and fall as the unit is pulled up the steep incline.

3. We do not use small units.
Many companies bring out several small units because they are easier to handle. It may be easier for them but it won’t be for you. It is much more difficult to load up several small units than to load one large one. Plus, most of the “small unit companies” use wooden crates with a vinyl cover that you zip around them. Obviously this is not very secure.

4. We can lift 10,000 pounds.
When you completely fill a 16’ unit it can weigh up to 10,000 lbs. Some of our competitors can only lift 5,000 - 8,000 pounds. We can’t imagine telling a customer, “Sorry, it’s too heavy for us to lift. You are going to have to remove some of your belongings.”

5. Our lift system is short and maneuverable.
Some of our competitors have a lift vehicle that is about 30’ long (ours is 18’). They require a long straight area in order to drop off a unit. If your driveway is not long and straight, they may have to refuse delivery. You would be faced with the difficult task of trying to hire someone else at the last minute.

Don’t hire a company that will limit your options and possibly damage your property. Hire the true professionals.
